COVID Vaccines and Pregnancies

Pregnant patients are more likely to be admitted to an ICU, require assisted ventilation and die, compared to pregnant women. Severe complications for mom usually means severe complications for baby. There is limited data to weigh the risks and benefits of the vaccine in pregnancy. The Center for Disease Control, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine all support the offering of COVID-19 vaccines to pregnant women.
